Disney's Boardwalk

Disney's Boardwalk is one of their Delux Resorts. It's pretty cool and is fun to walk along all the shops, but we probably wouldn't stay there. We ate lunch at the ESPN Club, which was really nice...they had a flat screen TV at every table/booth (too bad it was just ESPN on it). The food there was ginormous! I think it would be a really pretty place at night, but during the day it's pretty quite. It's a good place to relax, or perhaps just to visit while you are at Disney World.

Halloween Decorations in September

Well fall has arrived here at Disney World...the Magic Kingdom has already put up their Halloween decor. It's actually really cute and I can't wait to see more! Here's a little preview...more to come closer to Halloween!

Please Don't...

Top 10 most annoying things you see tourists do at Disney World

10. Plow you over with a stroller (yes, it's happened to both of us on more than one occassion so far)
9. Wack you with their backpack...sometimes if the person is really tall, the backpack is at head level, which kinda hurts
8. Push their kids into the crowd/line so they can get closer
7. Let their kids run completely wild (sure it's Disney World, but you'd think they would teach their kids some manners)
6. Smoke in a non-smoking area...there are areas designated for smoking if only they would take a minute to ask where they are located
5. Dress in inappropriate clothes...it's the Magic Kingdom (a favorite among children) so why show more than you should. Here's a hint: if it could be mistaken for a bathing suit, you probably should pass on it (and yes, there are a lot of those)
4. All of a sudden stop in the middle of a moving crowd
3. Screaming (and I mean screaming) at their children...if there's a problem, I'm sure they could work it out in a much less attention-grabbing way
2. Throw their trash on the ground...seriously, is it that hard to put it in a trash can? They're everywhere!

Magic Kingdom

Tonight we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was still a little busy, but begining this week it will slow down a lot. This past week, the resort I'm working at was 75% occupied, but they said next week it drops down to 35%! So if you ever want to come to Disney I would suggest you come in September.

This evening we walked around the park, went on Splash Mountain, saw Mickey's Philarmagic, saw the stage show, and some other small stuff. It was nice to be able to relax im the park.

Saturday Night at the Studios

Tonight, after work, we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formally known as Disney's MGM Studios). First, we ate at one of our favorite places...Pizza Planet (from Toy Story). Then we walked off our supper around the park. We saw some famous foot prints in front of the Great Movie Ride and then went to a couple of attractions.

Typical Night At Home

Lately, our favorite thing to do is just eat at home and watch "The Office." If you've never seen it, I suggest that you begin right now...the season premiere is in September and you won't want to miss it. Pictured above are some of our home cooked meals...so that you know we are eating well and we're not living off Taco Bell (which, you may be surprised to know that we haven't eaten at a Taco Bell since Spearfish).

Also, Brandon got his second costume for his work location. I have to say it looks a lot better than his other one, but I'm not so sure about his pose.

Florida Wildlife- Golf Course

Walt Disney World Golf

Today we went to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course. It's part of the PGA Tour, which is kinda cool. It was sooo fancy! First, they load up your golf bag for you and go park the cart out back. Then each cart has towels, tees, GPS system, and a cooler. They also give you a mini Sharpie marker and a divot repair tool as souvineers. Brandon golfed with a guy from Miniapolis, who was very nice. My favorite part was the snack lady...she had hot dogs, pop, sandwiches, chips, cookies, and more! She was a life saver!! Oh yeah, and we got to see our first wild alligator...just a small one, but still cool.

Our Work Locations

Today was our first day at our actual work locations. Brandon is at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and I am at Disney's Saratoga Springs Vacation Club Resort. Obviously our costumes are themed, which go along with the resorts. Brandon says his resort reminds him a lot like the Black Hills, which is nice. My resort is themed off of the Saratoga Springs in New York back in the early 1900's.
